CODES OF CONDUCT
For Players
- Always abide by the Laws of the Game.
- Always respect your team-mates and coaching staff.
- Encouragement rather than criticism is preferred.
- Always respect your opponents.
- Play hard, but fair at all times.
- Treat victory and defeat with the same humility.
- Always respect match officials.
- There would be no matches without them.
- They are human and are trying their best to be impartial.
- Decisions are rarely, if ever changed
- (Above all, consider your own performance, before criticising others)
- Always respect supporters and club officials.
- Be punctual for all meetings, matches and training sessions.
For Club Officials, Coaches and Management
- Always respect players as individuals and treat them as so.
- Everyone has a right to be regarded as trying their best.
- Always respect opposition players and officials.
- Treat them how you would wish to be treated.
- Always respect match officials.
- There would be no matches without them.
- They are human and are trying their best to be impartial

- Do not wait for jobs to be delegated – look them out.

For Supporters and Spectators, both at home and away
- Never encroach beyond the perimeter rail.
- Always treat players and match officials with respect and humility.
- Help to make them all welcome when playing Knaresborough Town.
- NEVER use foul, abusive, threatening or insulting language in any connection.
- Words do not have to be “Swear Words” to be abusive or insulting!
- Never use language or actions which could be construed as racist in any way.
Knaresborough Town Football Club has a non-discriminating policy in terms of membership,
which is open to all, irrespective of sex, sexual orientation, colour, race or disability.
Knaresborough Town Football Club adheres to current guidelines on the issue of Child
and Youth Protection and will co-ordinate with governing bodies to ensure all coaches
and officials are vetted prior to any activity involving juveniles. For this purpose,
the Club Secretary is designated as Youth Protection Officer.
